ArtLoveMagic FAQ's

I'm not an artist but I love the arts.  What can I do to help?
(or, My mutant ability is communications and organization. Can I hang out with you?)

Dear God, are you for real? You have no idea how badly we need you.  Us "right brainers" have no problem making cool stuff happen, but we need the "left brainers" to keep our feet on the ground. We've got just the guy for you to talk to and he's waiting for your call.

E-mail mario@artlovemagic.com to get in touch with Mario "SuperMario" Cauley, the man with the behind the scenes plan.

I want to make a donation right now!
(
or, I can't believe I've found you guys.  This is the coolest thing to happen to Dallas since Mrs. Baird's Bread.  I used to love coming home from Deep Ellum on Saturday nights at 3am and smell the fresh bread baking right there off of 75 and Mockingbird!)

Love you. Click here to read more on why you should. Already convinced that your money will be used in incredible ways through ArtLoveMagic? Here is where you can donate.

How can I get involved as an artist in ArtLoveMagic?
(or, I'm all alone in a sea of artistic emotion and have no home.  Will you be my friend?)

We pride ourselves in being fairly easy to get involved with. The first thing you should do is attend a show. Not all art organizations are the same and we'd like you to experience ArtLoveMagic to make sure this one's for you. Bring samples of your work and talk to a producer while you're at the show.

How can I get involved as manager/ leader in ArtLoveMagic?
(or, I'm a glutton for punishment and love giving up my time and sanity for the sake of other people's life and well-being.  Is it possible to change the world?)

ArtLoveMagic needs a diverse set of leaders to manage a very diverse collective of artists. Leadership roles vary from show production, to sound and art design, to

mentoring artists and volunteers, to reporting on our events. Our management team meets most Wednesday nights. This is the place to get involved as a leader. Contact Founder David Rodriguez at david@artlovemagic.com for info on the next meeting. You should absolutely attend an event or two before requesting info on leadership roles.

How can I get ArtLoveMagic to do an event at my retail/ gallery/ business/ open space?
(or, ArtLoveMagic has lots of people (artists and attendees), I have a business/organization that needs people.  We should go out on a date.)

Our model for events is scalable to accommodate a variety of venues. We've done experiences with as little as 3 artists and as many as 40. Retail spaces or production companies sometimes hire us

to create an experience that will add entertainment to an already scheduled gathering (see Art & Coffee). Show venues sometimes partner with us to create events that benefit us both parties. We're easy to work with and enjoy friendly people. Contact our Events Producer Justin Nygren (justin@artlovemagic.com) for more info.

Is ArtLoveMagic a faith-based organization?
(or, Why the heck are you doing this?  or, I've heard weird things about you... or, I want my religion/belief system to take over the world and want to know if I can use you to do it.)

ArtLoveMagic is an open-source collective of artists with varying beliefs. Everything we do is intentionally positive, but we don't tend to subscribe to one set of beliefs. Our common purpose is creative expression. We seek other positive people of high energy. You are welcome here.
